A new update has been dispatched for the main client. More info will be edited in as I analyze the patch.

  • The current patch version of the game has been updated to 6.85b in the About tab.

If you're looking for something new, but still dota-esque and don't mind 2D waifus, then Touhou will be pretty fun for you.

The elements are similar, but there are entirely different heroes, skills, items, and a different map

It's basically like, if you like Touhou you'll probably enjoy it just for the Touhou skin on everything (Not that it's just a skin of course, at least not for the most part. Some girls are literally just reskinned heroes but I think there's only like 2 of those. Most grills have interesting and unique abilities based on their powers in the Touhou games.). The custom game's map, while a little gigantic and confusing at times, is very nice. The game's biggest problem is a lack of players, to be honest. That, and some items/abilities are translated by something worse than Google Translate.

you would have received a trophy; which generally gives you heaps of TP (trophy xp), enough for sometimes 5 profile levels at once. Unrelated to the patch.

They did something for sure. The game starts up almost instantly for me and shuts down just as quick. It used to hang for a couple of seconds to do either action.

After his 500th loss Souma vows that he will never lose to anyone, not even his father. He then, finally, wins a battle against his father but decides not to take over his dad's store. Instead he stays at Tootsuki as a teacher with all the girls who become inseparable from Souma and is then crowned harem master of the culinary world (After Komi Naoshi-sensei takes over the manga ofc because JUMP decides Nisekoi is a really great series and thinks he can contribute more to other manga that they run.)/s

Well, Oracle has animations again. No idea about the Timbersaw set ones, I don't have any of those.

Oracle's cape/scroll still has glitched textures though.

You can test Arc Warden out in TheZett's custom game here. It's barebones as hell, but at least you get a feel for mana costs, cast times, and what his ultimate is like. He's basically Tinker and Meepo's lovechild, though I'm not sure which Meepo is the father, or if it matters, or even if all five are. But he's pretty crazy, and using all of his abilities and active items will take tons of time to get used to.

In dota1 he was dire, afaik. In dota2 he is radiant (so far).

Not that it matters, though, since Reborn stopped seperating them into dire & radiant.

Internal game files say he is on team "goodguys" & the in-game pick screen (that one is still split between radiant & dire).

I take it you have no idea about the grid pick screen?

You can press Ctrl while picking to switch from the scrolling cards to viewing the full roster.

The only front end change was that the LPQ string now reads "Victories Remaining: " instead of "Games Remaining: "

Rest of the changes were all backend. Possible follow up updates to the memory fixes they've been doing. That kind of explains the size.

I checked the patch earlier today but there wasn't anything significant so didn't bother documenting it.

It actually fixed all the custom game issues the patch before it had caused. (Fountain regen 0, workshop tools crashing with some commands, console spewing model errors that caused problems..)

I've analyzed hundreds of Dota 2 patches. When you do something so much, you kinda develop a quick pace coz you know what you need to look for. Lately, it's mostly the file extraction that takes more time.

Well I broke up a little while ago. So I'm rediscovering the single life after after almost a decade of being in a relationship. But when she was around, I'd put the patch on hold and get done with what I was doing. That kinda explains all the - "Little busy right now. Patch analysis in a bit." comments I made. After that I'd use my space-time bending skills to make it seem like it never happened.
