Game UpdateCounter-Strike: Global Offensive update for 3/23/16 (3/24/16 UTC, 1.35.3.0) (self.GlobalOffensive)

MISC

  • Fixed a bug where the map overview would move a dead player’s icon to the position of their spectator camera, showing a live player’s position (Thanks jubiii!)
  • Added a missing collection tag to Shadow Case.

SERVERS

  • This update includes a previously released patch for gameservers to deny setinfo calls for keys that weren’t configured at client connection time.
  • Added a convar sv_vote_count_spectator_votes that can be set to zero while enabling sv_vote_allow_spectators to initiate votes without casting an initial YES vote.

MAPS

Overpass:

  • Grenades will no longer fall between cracks in Bombsite B
  • Added backface to door in upper park (Thanks Guardian!)
  • More accurate collision model on tree and rocks used in upper park

Cobblestone:

  • Updated loading screen image

            At the end of 2013, Valve for whatever reason decided to stop using the Steam store for things, and instead is using the CS:GO blog, which is why nobody's been seeing anything in Steam for the past two years.

                        Yes, this is for the crash exploit.

                        The exploit was basically spamming the setinfo command to create a large amount of key-value pairs. It would eat the servers CPU.

                        Like so:

                        This would lag everyone and eventually crash the server.

                        It sets a key-value pair.

                        Like "setinfo name HwanZike" will set the value of the key "name" to HwanZike.

                        The problem here was that when you use setinfo with a key that doesnt exists, the server creates the key. So all you have had to do is keep spamming setinfo with different keys and it will lag the server to death cause it keeps creating an unlimited number of keys.

                                                        Does anyone else experience a bug in spectator where the map enlargement doesn't go away? Literally happens everytime I accidentally hit shift. Also happens in GOTV when I'm watching my matches back. Can't get rid of the big map. Any fixes? I thought it would be patched by now with one of these updates
